Default barrel length?

im filling out an atf form for a temporary permit to transport firearms into the states for an antelope hunt in october.they want to know the barrel length in inches of my rifles.where do i measure from,to.the rifles are both weatherby vanguards.thanks.

Unload, and check to make sure your rifle is un loaded.
Close the bolt and leave the rifle cocked.
Put a cleaning rod carefully into the muzzle of the rifle and let it down till it touches the bolt face.
Mark the cleaning rod at the rifle's muzzle.
Remove the rod, and measure the rod tip to the mark,
That is the barrel length.
