Default Cabin Rentals Cold Lake & Lac La Biche?

Hi everyone, I am looking for info on cabin rentals on or near Cold Lake and Lac La Biche. Going to do a weeks vacation trip with the family and want to stay in a cabin vs hotels. Have our own boat so don’t need boat rentals. We have never targeted lake trout before so we are excited for this trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just making sure you are aware that there aren't lake trout in Lac La Biche. That being said, Alberta Parks does have cabins for rent on the lake at Sir Winston Churchill for $175/night.

Yes, I am aware of that. Sorry it sounds misleading. That sure is confusing when I reread it now. We will be targeting lake trout at Cold Lake and going after some walleye at Lac La Biche. Just looking for some cabin rentals at both lakes.

For Cold Lake area, check out

http://www.baywoodparkcoldlake.com/

has a boat launch too into long bay but just be careful heading out to centre bay on cold lake as there is a sand bar but other than that your good to go.

What time of year were you thinking? Keep in mind that Lac La Biche can get some pretty intense algae blooms in the summer which usually makes the fishing quite tough. The sooner you can get there when the season opens the better for fishing. Late May towards mid June. Won't need to worry as much about timing at Cold Lake but it seems to get better later in the season around August. But by this time Lac La Biche will likely not be worth it if we get another warm season.

At LLB there are cabins right on the water at the Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park. They are next to the boat launch there. They are really sort-after though so you will need to book asap. Go to https://shop.albertaparks.ca/ and select "comfort camping" at Sir Winston.

Thumbs up Cold Lake Cabins

We stayed at Evergreen Burch Resort in Cold Lake! Super nice cabins and Kim is around with his trailer of treasures if you need tackle or bait. Great place to stay!

I was thinking a closer set up for the OP but your right Kim is good people and the resort is set up really nice. Just a wee bit of a drive to town or launch but no biggie really.
