Watch it - COON’ is now a nasty word that offends some people. Better stick to ‘Trash-Panda’.

Well, years ago I use to hunt coons at night with a dog and a rifle. You has to have your small game licence, a dog licensed to hunt said species, and s FAC to use a.22.
Good times. People used to ask what kind of dog I had. He was a bluetick coonhound. We hunted coons at night. Nobody batted an eye. Try that now, lol.
Best time I ever had. Biggest one was 38lbs.

Raccoon pic
Shot this guy after treeing it, just stunned it a bit. Using a flashlight and guessing the between the eyes. Anyway, was not happy when he hit the ground. Let the dog finish him. By the time the dog got the neck broken, the dogs ear and nose were torn open. Lol. That dog had mor scars on his face and head, but mN could he find them trash pandas.

Owe boy a nice greasey coon to skin a flesh, the guys up north don’t get to see those. Thanks Cam. 20 years ago about I got a call to take some skunks outa this guys place on the river an to my surprise a raccoon was in the trap. I ended up catching six I think it was a mother a five young ones of the year. It was unheard of having them in the area. There still isent very many around

I remember as a little kid my neibour shot a mother and there were was a litter of two with her. i had them as pets for a couple months.they were sure cute to play with. Mom hated them, they would get into her house plants and dig for all they were worth. i kept them outside in our rabbit cage. one morning, i went out to see them and they managed to escape. probably a good thing Mom couldn't stand them anymore

Mom might know more about that than she's letting on.....
