Default Huntingbc.ca forum issues?

Is anyone else a member of the huntingbc.ca forum and having issues opening the website? A while back it was hit or miss on whether the site would open and it seemed to only open with certain browsers and now I can’t get the site to open at all.
Anyone else having the same issue?
Any tips?

Thanks
Dj19

I have been having the same trouble for a month or two now, to the point where I don't even try any more! It got progressively worse and now is unuseable, for me anyways.

Yeah that site is messed up. The format it displays is unreadable.

The issue is with the http vs https - if you're browser forced the https it will come out unreadable.

I jumped through hoops trying to get chrome to use the http, edited settings, followed a site security exclusionary process, cleaned history/cookies, reinstalled the browser... doesn't matter, it forces https.

In experimenting I found that Firefox displays better for me, but it's not great, and it's not the browser I use. Admin at that forum needs to make some changes and get it back on track.

The NDP is working on shutting down thehunting bc forum just like they have been taking away hunting opportunities every year in B.C.

Usually check couple times a season, but thats it no more.
Not a techie, but they need to upgrade the server or pay more to their provider to upgrade the site ??
Contact the guy who wears the pink tutu via the gun nut page he might be able to assist..

Question Looks like garbage

It opened with Firefox, but it isn't easily navigable. It looks like an early 90s version of a poorly designed text only forum.

Hunting BC could be running into different factors such as trying to upgrade the website, to even cyber attacks to prevent the site from staying up. The view of hunting in BC has sadly changed from one which used to be viewed positively, to now one which is viewed quite negatively. I will share with you a post from the Vancouver papers which trumpets how a conservation rights group was able to fundraise 1.92 million dollars to purchase the exclusive hunting rights for the " Great Bear Rainforest" which spans the North and Central Coast of B.C. If you are an outfitter or hunter in that area your hunting opportunities just got flushed down the toilet. Things are going downhill fast for hunting in BC.

Needless to say without getting into details I am not a fan of the BCWF

They are an example why resident hunters need to have a well organized voice to represent them that was not developed by BS numbers inflated by membership tacked onto range fees adding it in

But sadly that doesn’t seem to matter to most

It worked for me last year with an old Apple laptop.

Last summer switched to a Windows 11 computer and no luck getting the huntingbc website to fully open , it partially loads , with blue text on a white background but not functional . Tried a few different web browsers and same result .

The owner knows about the issue , seems like fixing it is not a priority.

Trouble is that the " Owner" has a " Burger Flipper " in charge of the site .
