Default What is wrong with this doe?

So I first saw this doe on my lawn late last summer. I noticed she had a small 2 inch dark colored brown growth beside her right eye.

Just checked my trail cam activities this morning, and got these 2 pics of her. The growth is now raw, and about twice the size. Although I can't quite confirm yet, I believe is is now covering her eye.

She appears to be in good shape other than this growth. Any idea what this may be?

Thanx...

Although it looks more raw/red than is usually shown in photos, it does look like deer fibroma.

Deer fibromas are wart-like growths on deer that are typically caused by an infection with a species-specific papillomavirus. These manifest as firm, warty growths fixed to the skin of a deer. ... They may be found throughout a deer's hide, but are most commonly seen around the eyes, face, and neck.

This

They are not transmissible to humans, only on the skin not in the meat, and generally fall off on their own without harming the deer. In this case she may lose the eye though.
