Default Stupid Questions Found On Social Media………

Some of these "social media" questions really make me wonder about Western "education".

From various sites:

“Can a strong wind blow WIFI signals away?”

“Was the world only black and white, like in old movies, before color was invented?”

“I printed some animations, but they’re not moving. Is the problem in my computer or my printer?”

“If China is 8 hours ahead of us, why didn’t they warn us about 9/11?”

“When you send a fax, how does your paper get to the other fax machine”?

“If the sun is a star, why is it so much bigger than other stars?”

“If the moon is smaller than the sun, why do they look the same size?”

“Why didn’t James Cameron give ‘Titanic’ a happy ending?”

“I swallowed an ice cube whole yesterday. Why haven’t I pooped it out?”

“Is it spelled Iran or Iraq?”

“Do man-eating sharks eat women too?”

And on and on and............

This is why I have been making such good money going door to door selling a plan to double your IQ in 3 weeks with a 100% no money back guarantee.

I really do well on the college and University campuses as well.

Some great ones in there.

I will say however that Google has allowed people to ask stupid questions and get an answer.

You know we have all had them growing up, the ones you were too scared to ask because you should known it.

Yeah. I remember asking if you untied the knot in your belly button, would your bum fall off?

But, that may have been the shrooms.....

Me either - ever.

But I've been thinking of trying them to try and retain my sanity during our West's decline. And I'm 70!

Especially when I always see and hear questions similar to the ones I posted.

I saw one on FB, the caption was something like "5ways to improve your gas mileage" with a picture of someone pouring a bottle of Coke into gas the tank. All Righty then.

It's click-bait plain and simple. People click on it, or comment on it because they think it's so stupid they either want to see who was stupid enough to post it or to prove it wrong.

Internet advertising is fueled by clicks and views of ads. So basically all the content creators care about is clicks and views. Just look at any recipe blog and try to find the recipe.

The website/content creators are playing off the human ego to make a quick cheap buck without providing anything of value. It's like junk food for your brain/ego.

The internet and social media especially has turned into the equivalent of a shopping mall food court for the most part. Mostly brain junk food with little of long-term value. To find good information you have to dig and go to the "mom and pop" stores like AO.

Until people learn enough to avoid the garbage or advertising changes this is what we are going to get more of. Unfortunately all the "free" platforms are paid for this way so this is what we get and it is to the detriment of our society. People need to start making this a conversation point.
