Default Bluetooth phone headsets.

I’ve been reliant on a Bluetooth phone headset for years. I’ve had numerous different models of Blue Parrot and Roadking brands that are sold at flying J truck stops.

I like the over the head type with the boom microphone as the in the ear ones are uncomfortable over time and don’t do well with back ground noise of trucks, tractors, machinery and livestock.

My current Roadking brand I’ve had for not quite 4 years. It’s getting glitchy and keeps connecting and disconnecting to the phone.

What’s the one to replace it with these days?

I have had blue parrots for a long time. Only ones I would recommend. They all are fabulous for talking in loud or quiet conditions. People think I'm talking on a land line even in loud conditions. I don't even like talking without it anymore. I've had a 250, 350 and currently have the 450. All 3 work the same as far as call quality. The 350 and 450 have longer lasting batteries. The 450 however takes the cake with distance from phone. Depending on line of sight/ blockages I can easily walk 100 feet away from my phone with the 450. It's amazing. The other 2 you are lucky to go 20 feet. For that reason alone I recommend the 450. Otherwise I'd go with the 250 if distance from phone doesn't matter

Thanks. I appreciate the input. Distance is an issue for me as well. Lots of times it’s nice to be able to leave the phone on the truck and still be able to talk while walking around a 53’ semi load.

Slight disclaimer. You will lose the conversation if you walk behind the end of the trailer but will usually connect back up as you walk back

Ok. Similar to the Roadking 940 that I have been using then. That’s kinda how that goes.

Lots of times when you get back to the truck I can still hear them but they can’t hear me.

Usually end up hanging up and calling back, sometimes it fights you to reconnect.

Super annoying.
