Anyone have severe tennis elbow and shoot a bow? Anything to help relieve pain when drawing?

I’ll second the YouTube videos, back in January I started having tennis elbow issues, saw a doctor and all he said was Advil, ice and cortisone shot if it got too bad. I didn’t really like the sound of that, went on YouTube and found some good videos. Not everything will work for everyone but you’ll probably find something that will help. I’m probably about 90% good now but when I first had it I doubt I could have shot my bow, was surprisingly painful. Calving season probably set me back a bit, some jobs have to be done. Advil does help with inflammation if you have to do stuff but it’s not gonna fix it. Good luck and hopefully you’re good when season starts

One thing that works for me is pressing pressure points in and around my forearm and bicep and tricep. And in my hand. Really deep in the corner of your thumb
There is a spot that is roughly your hands distance from your wrist towards your elbow on the outside of your forearm. Find out where it hurts and your middle finger spasms and you got the spot!
Rolling the muscles on a ball works too. If your on a muscle, the more it hurts the more it works. Hit the elbow and tricep either on some stairs for your tricep or just use the ball in your hand for your bicep. It's pretty damn sensitive

1 or several treatment of PRP will fix it. My wife had tennis and golf elbow, 1 treatment was enough to fix both.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a cell therapy that involves*removing, processing, and re-introducing*a person's own cells to treat or prevent a medical condition. PRP treatments involve collecting a small amount of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge machine to separate the platelets from the red blood cells
From Google.

I had it really bad for awhile, it’ll eventually straighten up if you can give it proper rest. P.s. the dry needling really did help mine.

Tennis elbow
Mine was a WCB case. Had cortisone shots for years. Even went to a special clinic in Vancouver for 3 weeks for electric stimulation. This did not help much. Finally, my specialist cut the tendons off in my elbow and sewed them back on in a different position on the joint. Much better although excessive repetitive motion brings back the symptoms somewhat. Not much fun with tennis elbow. Sometimes you have to change careers to get relief.

See a doctor and go to physio otherwise if you stay active with it will get worse. I tried toughing it out and when I went on holidays I was casting for pike in the weeds one afternoon and that night the pain was excruciating. Saw a doctor the next day for some meds and got the ball rolling for rehab.
