Does anyone use a Hawke scope? Heard some good things about them, specifically the sidewinder. Just curious if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks.
I have a Hawke scope on an air rifle. It seems fairly reliable, but the lenses and coatings are lower end. Mine isn't a Sidewinder, but I have used a Sidewinder, and my assessment of it is about the same.

I have one on my 223. The glass is pretty good and it dials really reliably but on the higher power the image gets a tad darker and the eyebox is tiny. The clicks are kind of mushy feeling but if the price was right I think I'd buy another.

Have the Sidewinder 4-16x30 on a Savage .22WMR for about 5 years now.
Very solid scope with great optics. Me friend who has a Leica Magnus feels the Hawke is just as sharp with slightly less color fringing.
Rifle magazine did a test on the Hawke this issue (scroll down the link to get an idea of the report) and say it compares favourably to scopes costing much more https://www.riflemagazine.com/rifle-...-february-2021
