Default Sorry to hear this, Accurate Archery

Lawrence is a great guy, sorry to hear this I imagine this was not an easy decision.

“Accurate Archery has been proud to grow into a trusted retailer in the archery industry. As part of the Ecko Marine Family, we’ve connected with so many great customers and friends over the past 6 years. Our most valuable member of our team, Lawrence has decided to move on from Accurate Archery to accomplish some personal goals. We cannot thank Lawrence enough for sharing this knowledge with hunters across Western Canada. Thank you Lawrence for your commitment to this incredible sport. As an integral part of the team, we know Accurate Archery just can’t continue to the same standard without him, so over the next couple of months, we will begin the process of closing Accurate Archery. Don’t worry, Lawrence will still be around to handle your needs in the meantime and current orders will be handled swiftly. Keep an eye out for some upcoming special deals on our current inventory that you may have had your eye on! Thanks so much to all of our customers for shopping with us and creating such a fun environment to work in. And thank you Lawrence for a great 6 years.“

That sucks. Hope the best for him as he was my go to guy for anything I couldn’t do. The list of quality bow shops around here is getting smaller. Support local.

He used to have a sweet set up at his house, I’m sure the new set up will be even better

That it was! He's a terrific guy and he always treated me well over the years.

Here's hoping he continues his excellent service in a new capacity!

This is not intended as a derail, just curious:

Is Lawrence the fella that worked at Sherwood Park Archery with Dallas about 10 years ago?

If so, he sure was a knowledgeable and stand up guy.

I met Lawrence when he was at Trophy Book in Spruce many years ago. I bought my first bow from him there and he spent a lot time teaching my daughter and myself the proper techniques of shooting a bow. My daughter, Alanna still hunts with a bow to this day. From there, I would visit him regularly at his archery shop when he had it on his acreage then out at Alberta Beach. I'm pretty confident when I say he was probably one of the most knowledgeable archery technicians around.
He will be missed and I wish him the best.

Thanks Kurt. I never did get the chance to meet Lawrence then.

Either way, best of luck.

Bought my last bow from Lawerence at Accurate Archery. First met him when he worked at Cabela's, briefly. Great guy, very knowledgeable.

Default All the best

I would drive two hours to get to his shop. What I really liked about going there was the great service. He used to talk while he worked and you could be right there looking over his shoulder and learning all the while. He serviced my bow before a trip to Greenland and I had every confidence that the bow would do its part if I did mine.

Is this place already closed down? I went to check out their website and it says permanently closed under hours of operation. I’m in the market for a new bow so thought before they closed I would check them out.
