Default .35 Whelen / Hodgdon CFE 223.??

Have any of you other mid- bore fans tried this powder with 225's or 250's?
Thinking of trying it in my .35 Whelen Ai. Looks like MV in the mid to high 2700's is doable with the 250 out of a 24" Bbl, with acceptable pressure, but I'm a bit skeptical.

I use that CFE223 in my Whelen. 2700+ fps is doable with a 250 gr but I stopped at 2600. The extra recoil was not worth it to me. My point poi ended up identical to my 2700fps 225gr load.

I use CFE .223 in my 9.3x62 with 250gr accubonds, 100 fps gain over varget, great accuracy,
Cant see why it won't work.

Good plan. I got 2624 at about 55000 psi. Don't like the idea of going to 60 K so I think I'll stay there. Thanks both.

59gr of CFE-223 under a 250gr Speer HC gives me 2525fps and groups at .75” @ 100y.

Remington 700 22” barrel

I’ve been using that load exclusively now, zero complaints.
