Draw Results and Bowhunting Prospects...

Not sure why the Draw Results post was moved ...As it also applies greatly to Bow hunting / Archery and many plan all their bowhunting around the results...

FYI elk draws in my area were said to be down...fact is there are just more applicants

Got a hankering for moose but looks like I will have to go quite far north if I want moose...as they are no general bowhunting seasons close by anymore...

Still got a shot at Archery Antelope...was just looking at last years draw summery...
all Pri's from 8 on up were 100% drawn and even 18% of Pri 7...but heres the thing from Pri 7 on up to Pri 17...Pri 17 didn't know we did this that long ...lol

Anyway from Pri 7 to Pri 17 there are 1000 999ers

So its so hard to judge and plan...we are at the mercy really of the 999ers

For example on PRI 8 this year there is 321 applicant that are 999ers...

I got antlered mule deer in 138 & suffield first season antlered elk. Going to try & get mule deer with the apa.

Friends of mine got bull & cow moose in 232 & 200 series antlered elk & antlered mule deer 232. Going to be a awesome fall. Best of luck to everyone

I relying on general archery tags only. I plan on hunting pretty far from the city. Fingers crossed! It's going to be an exciting season.

I generally general tag everything, and this year is no different, with the exception of a camp Wainwright primitive weapons season draw. We'll be up your way Neil, maybe we'll stop in and chat you up.

I already explained this VERY CLEARLY!The draw pertains to ALL hunting not just archery, and many members here use do not want to bounce back and forth from the hunting forum to the archery forum to find out who is going where and with what.
The also were getting more than a bit confused if they posted in one or both.
it is hunting, period!
