The thugs are sure going hard, crime is ramping up these days. My friend had his rec property garage hit twice in a week last month. Got his atv and small stuff before being scared off. Hope you get the .22 back Sureshot. Hope they catch the scum with it red handed.

Wow...that's impressive that they showed up to fingerprint. Good for them...maybe they're going to take this crime fighting thing seriously.

Sorry to hear about this. Sure has been a lot of firearms being stolen in break-in's lately.
I find it amassing that they bothered to even investigate this break-in, and this is the first time I have ever heard of police taking fingerprints. Are you a celebrity, or something? Really, I'm not being a smartazz. Ussually they tell you to make a report online, and thats the end of it.

It is terrible to say, but I've yet to inventory what I have in my vault. I'm going to start taking photos and recording serials in the event the guns go missing. From what I hear, a lot of guns are eventually recovered and destroyed as the serials were never reported stolen to the police in the first place.

Yup, trigger locks and gun safes really help stop these kinds of thefts.

I still like the old style burgular alarms. The furry one! He will let you know if someone is even thinking about coming into the yard. And if there brave enough to enter the house, good luck to them. They better have a planed route to the nearest medical center.

That sucks Sureshot, the worst part, even worse than what gets stolen, is having your privacy violated. I hope you guys move on with no problems.

This is a problem that is only going to get worse because there is no punishment for the crime. The cops have no ambition to catch these guys because the courts just let them go.

If they get caught, cut their hand off for the first offence, I guarantee they won't be doing it a second time.

I have a Rottweiler and a Vivint home security system at my house, but it doesn't stop them from breaking into my cabin. I think the last guy that broke into my cabin set up booby traps before he left, the next guy that breaks in might get hurt......

I remember getting off the bus when I was 13. For some reason instead of going straight to the house, I got on the trampoline for about 20 minutes. I got off the trampoline and walked to the front door, put my key in the door and when I turned the key there was no resistance. I opened the door and the curtains from my mom and dad's room were laying in the kitchen and there was stuff scattered everywhere. Adrenaline rushed through my body and before darting out I grabbed a kitchen knife and ran through the woods to my grandparent's house. It was terrifying and it has stuck with me all these years. It's a very strange discomfort and I hate to hear you've been through it, although I understand.
