Default Stauffer/ Raven

Hey all,

Interested in fishing the Raven river near Stauffer creek but am unsure how to get there. I know how to get to the Buck for Wildlife Parking lot by Stauffer but how do I get to the Raven? Also is it a decent fishery?

Turn west at the little hamlet of stauffer, then turn south at the first intersection - south about half a km will be the parking lot.

Difficult fishing, and rewarding when successful!

Cheers

The Raven river is south of Stauffer Creek (North Raven) . I have only tried fishing it once. Best access seems to be south of Caroline or south of the hi way that goes through Caroline.

The Raven is one of my favourites, but I've found it difficult to fish. Stauffer seems to have bigger fish, but they do still get to be decent at the raven. I love that little creek, just don't expect any monsters out of it. Also watch for animals, I have been warned multiple times to be extra careful out there

Have come across cougars and bear on Stauffer creek and the raven so yes do be catious but don't let it detour you. More likely to have a run in with a p***** off cow moose in the spring or a bull during the rut.

And there are monsters to be caught in both creeks. Just takes time patient a little skill and a whole lot of luck

You'd be surprised how many bears are around here lately

Common sense...bring bear spray and wear a bell. We've(humans) destroyed so much of their habitat already that there's no wonder there are more and more encounters.
