I'm sure most of us have at the very least looked into some once in a lifetime fishing adventures. I'd like to share some of mine with you.
First up, Kamchatka. I would love to have said that I've caught all salmon species on both sides of the Pacific and Kamchatka is the place where I can realize this.

$12k + $6-7k for the flight. not including gear.
would have to make a seperate trip earlier in the year to get the Salmon(trip is half the price give or take flights still the same), but the steelhead is the king.
Mongolia Taimen
As the largest trout species on the planet, if this fish isn't on your bucket list it should be. While their range stretches from Eastern Europe to the Pacific coast, the best fishery is located in Mongolia.

When I looked into this last year, or the year before the trip was $6-8k per person, 2 minimum. Flights to Mongolian capital are up to $8k even with several months advanced booked. Careful on the itinerary, as if you pass through China you'll need entry and exit visa's at an extra cost. Transfer in Seoul instead. I'm also going to have to learn to fly fish.
Mahseer in India

Price on this is a lot more reasonable, @ $2800US per person, shared and flights to India are not going to break the bank like some of the more exotic locations.
Brazil.
There's 2 destination I would love to hit in this Amazon nation.
One is the Panatal, from speaking with Brazillians from an online game I played, this is one of the most productive regions where most of the locals go for a relaxing fishing get away. This vast wetland area is home to some amazing flora and fauna and the wilderness itself is what draws me more then the fishing.
There isn't a link I could find that accurately portrays what I've been told to expect, but a quick search and you'll find shots of some heafty Dorado, there's also Pacu, and Pihrana as well as Catfish to stretch your line out on.
Prices vary, but 2-3k per person seems to be the norm with flights being another 2k min. Brazil requires tourists Visa's at 189(iirc) a pop.
The Second destination would be for the Rio Negro and Tributaries for the Amazing Peacock Bass fishery.
These guys are the most common company when searching so I'll link them up

Prices are a little steeper then what I have been able to find in the Panatal, but the fishing appears to be worth it.
Costs from 4-6k per person, plus flight and visa will run an additional 1800-2500 depending on bookings.
There's a few other places I would like to go such as a float down an artic drainage river in N. Ontario, or cruise around in a catamaran in one of the SE Pacific's Island nations (Vanuatu), and Salmon in New Zealand, Trout in Argentina, whatever I can get on my line in Africa (Nile Perch anyone?) maybe some of those giant Russian perch or a chance for a 40+ Zander. Oh the possibilities.
In summation. I need to win the lottery.
