Default Spring Upgrade for Benelli SBE II

I understand that there are kits for doing this. Where can they be ordered/bought and how hard are they to install?

I think you are located N of Red Deer? Maybe either P&D or the gunshop in Stettler, Prophet River... There are two springs avail from Wolff, a soft one for light loads and a hard one for heavy loads. There are plenty of instructive articles avail for doing it, just google SBE recoil springs. The older guns had the recoil tube nut loctited ( H&K, pre Benelli USA Sbe 1's?) and had to be heated. I see some info out now, how newer ones don't need to be, no loctite, ???
I haven't bothered with doing mine yet, haven't had the need to.

Default SBE springs

I have SBE and ordered three springs from Wolfe directly. Ck their website for information regarding orders. The springs made a difference with my gun as it increases the tension on the rotating bolt head. This seems to be a problem with these guns as they will not fire unless the rotating bolt head is fully locke in battery. The springs I ordered are bolt return/hammer/and magazine, and solved my problem.

The Benelli click? ya. Have to let 'er rip on the bolt, or it will happen, no soft closing allowed. I assume the hard recoil spring would help with that. I have more trouble with forgetting to top up, than with "the click" though.

Have either of you had issues in the cold? I had the dreaded click happening when it got below about -20. Would the spring fix this issue?

Usually if it does that in the cold, you have too much, or the wrong lube in it.
Really need to be stingy with the lube when it is cold, and use a synthetic lube. If lube accumulates in the recoil tube it will do that also.
I've only had it slow down once, whistled it apart and wiped some lube out of the receiver, went back to normal speed.
