Default Elk early season travel patterns-Pics attached

I have a trail cam over a watering hole which has captured at least seven different bull elk. There is not a single picture of any cow elk. My question is could there be any cow elk in the area and they're just not showing, and if they are not around will the bulls leave to pursue them or will the bulls herd the cows to the area?

It my first post, I don't have any jokes so I'll try posting a few pics instead Thanks

The cows and young bulls will be in a slightly different area, the calving area.

The more mature bulls will still be in bachelor groups, not necessarily where they will be in the fall. Within a week or two the big boys will start shedding velvet and going their own ways. They will then start herding up cows to form a harem.
