Default Lakes in GP area

Hey guys, I did a run around to differant lakes around GP today.

Sturgeon is still iced up with some open water near the shore ... maybe 5-10ft from shore is open. Caught a small pike ... watched him follow my spoon and inhaled it :P

Swan Lake near Ridge Valley - Open .. kicking myself for not bringing my canoe

Bear lake - iced over looks like small spots near shore is melted

Spring lake ... still frozen over .. didn't know they were redoing the dock.

Was going to check out Kakut but I went there a couple days ago and half the ice was gone from the pond

Hopefully this helps anyone in the area

Years ago they changed Cutbank to Trout. The used to have airators on the east end. Lots of fish over 5lbs. About 10 years ago it winter killed and haven't heard of anybody catching anything out of there. But I also remember as a kid going there with the family and catching lots of perch.

I dont see Cutbank in the listing of lakes in the regs, and its also not a stocked lake .. so would i follow the following from the regs?

"C. For other ES4 Lakes, Reservoirs and Ponds not included under (A) or (B) and for fish species not mentioned at a listed lake.
Open all year – Trout limit 5; Mountain Whitefish limit 5 over 30 cm; Walleye limit 3 over 50 cm; Pike limit 3 (no size limit); Perch limit 15; Lake Whitefish limit 10; Burbot limit 10; Arctic Grayling limit 2 over 35 cm (Arctic Grayling limit 0 Apr. 1 to May 31 and Sept. 1 to Mar. 31); Bait, including bait fish, allowed."

Would like to check it out as well.

Thanks Fishinhog for the info
