Default Spring Whites

So since Ive never ice fished for whites before, and Im not ready to park the new auger yet, what sort of areas would I find the whitefish in now? I know they are eating burb eggs, but I dont know where they are laying their eggs either Talking Southern Alberta

You can still find them on the inside weed edges in the morning and the outside in the afternoon. I was getting them in 2 feet of water the other day at sun up. Basic wire worms and kastmasters.

You can find them in most places now. Places holding burbot and in the shallows are the best bets. FYI Whites are the only fish that spawn in the Fall (Mid sept- the end of dec)

The burbs are in 6-21 ft. Best bet is sandy bottom
