Drove by Cardiff yesterday the southern entrance was blocked. They were paving from Southern entrance to golf course.
Is the southern entrance now opened?

Last week the north entrance was closed off and south was open. I’m guessing from what I saw that they started at north and went to the golf course then opened north and now are going toward north from south to meet up. Looks like maybe they are going to pave that gravel road on south end to. Would be nice.

Sheesh, Cardiff is at most about 10 minutes from St. Albert Costco. Look for yourself!

Or why bother now. Wait until late September when the water is cooler and you might find more than a few dinkies willing to hit a backswimmer or Prince Nymph pattern.

The south entrance was "closed" but people had moved the barriers and drove into the parking areas. That was Sunday so there wasn't any actual construction taking place. Backswimmers were active but the fish -not so much. The lake was packed with kayakers and SUP's.

Was out there today. Northgate open. South closed. Only parking lot you can use is far north end one. The carp fishers have the entire north end part covered. So to get some shore space you gotta walk all the way around to the middle area. At least nobody in middle so I had it all to myself.. Man those carp make soupy ugly water. Or at least I think it’s them causing it. I got some new heart pills. Seems to have given me a bit of stamina I was missing. For a bit anyway.

Foreman says they should be done in another week and a half or so.
