Default Game changers for our range arrived!

To say I am excited would be an understatement
Can't wait to get these babies set up on our long range!

Shot markers are just excellent ++. One thing to consider is if you have a gong on the same target stand don't shoot at it. The shrapnel cuts the shot marker wires.

I'm curious, are you protecting the sensors/wires or have some sort of deposit required prior to people using them? I've never been to a range that has these, but most photos I've seen online have wires just taped to the target or some such, seems like a bad idea for long range.

We have spare parts, and likely require a signature for liability and restitution if one is hit

I'm just checking these out now. That's a pretty sweet addition to your range.

Thanks!
They are being g used more and more at various shoots ,.
There are a few disadvatantages compared to a traditional target butt/pit system, but Holy smokes the advantages outweigh them enormously as far as I am concerned, price and operating manpower requires cannot even be compared!

This is a target system that is set up on a wood or metal frame . There are 4 sensors that magnetically attach to the four corners of the frame , ours will be 80 inches square.
There is a small sending unit that attaches to the sensors .
The target frame is made of corplast , and the aiming point is stapled to that at the firing line , there is a receiver with a common IP address. This unit creates its own WIFI so no internet source is needed.
The aiming point dies not matter, the chosen target is brought up on your cell phone, tablet etc. For example you can punch in "IBS 400 yard target " or " DCRA 900 meter Palma target " and that is what you will see on the screen .
Each shot is recorded , hrpup size and velocity are also recorded at the target . The only requirement is a super sonic bullet .
These units set up in seconds and when torn down, go into their small storage cases in a safe place.

We now will be able to hold sanctioned DCRA FClass and TR matches at our club , as well as non sanctioned long range rifle matches .

If you Google shotmarker on yutube thete are many examples of how to set it up and the unit in use

One of our club members who is a past Canadian Fclass team member bought one and I helped him build the frame for it .The frame is in two pieces so it can be easily moved from one distance to the other

Did you guys consider a camera system?

If so, what was the deciding factor, price?

A camera system is not nearly as detailed as this system as far as giving you the ease and versatility of set up , accuracy of requestion ,instantaneous scoring , plus the velocity at the target to name just a few things .
Cost is a about three hundred buck more than my target cam was

All the frames have been built and My buddy and I got everything calibrated today!
The calibration was done at 100 meters, it is very difficult to see , but there is a grid paper in the center of the frame that is used for calibration.
The distance used and the the of target is logged into your phone or Ipad, regardless of what you are actually aiming at. This way, we can chage the distances we want to shoot the targets at , and the appropriate target faces on the devices. You can actually be shooting at the target pictured at 500 meters for example, but on your Ipad or phone you can be looking at a 1" grid target so you can adjust your point of impact.
Concersley, you can be aining at the 1" grid paper, and bring up any number of targets to compare it to on your personal device!
Now all that is left to do is to schedule a day where everyone can come out and enjoy these new electronic targets!

This one is at 500 meters.

Excellent purchase… mine finally came in (for personal use) and its an awesome system. Nice that it’s also made in Canada! Only used mine a couple of times but can see benefits for load development, ability to digitally store your shooting sessions and events, game changer for sure.
