Not sure on hard alcohol options but for beer check out some local breweries. You can usually get a keg from the brewery at a much lower cost than buying cans/bottles of beer.

Some that I know sell kegs is:
Yellowhead Brewery
Bewsters
Ally Cat Brewery
Bent Stick Brewing

If not you can always swing by Keg N Cork liquor or Sherbrooke Liquor and order a keg from them as well.

I did consider the keg route. I live fairly close to the Ribstone Creek brewery and would support local. My only concern is the logistics of having the bartenders pouring draft all night rather than just grabbing a can out of the cooler.

Fair enough, form my experience it makes little difference in the end pouring off a tap or opening bottles/cans (make sure you hand out opened beers only, customer can't open themselves).

Only difference I really find is clean up the next morning. Plastic cups are easy to gather up apposed to a broken bottle (cans solve that problem as well however).

Edit:
Almost forgot congratulations on the upcoming nuptials.
