Not a very good plan for the current government, that kinda cull will result in a loss in numbers of their voters/supporters

The gbears do fine in the wheat fields around Grande Prairie, so they'll be okay on the modern plains. I will venture to say that the wheat field bears would outperform mountain bears on average daily weight gain.

Good to see that they’re finally admitting to more bears (1100) although they are probably still shooting low on that. I’d say within a decade or 2 we will see bears in Cyprus hills, perhaps some of the river valleys like the red deer out east.

You won't have to wait a decade or two, a grizzly was spotted yesterday, June 18 between Penhold and Pine lake... Fish and Wildlife has not made a positive identification yet though.

Default grizz

Grizz were on the Alberta prairie because he had few million bison and a few elk to eat. Now they will need to settle for a few ranchers cattle for supper.

More than a few I'll bet. Easy pickings.
