Small Plot Bull Moose??

SO heres the story, Ive been increasing priority for a Antlered Moose tag for years. I moved out of Ed finally, and found a small area of public land that has a few moose year round...Cows, Calfs...can I assume in the Rut, or near the rut, a bull or two may frequent the area, oh and yes I got the draw. I like hunting small dense areas as I can get to know it easily . any tips on hunting moose in a small area? should I set up a blind/treestand? or just go there often so as they get used to my scent...its a bit unusual i know!

Good luck on your moose hunt. I just got permission on a 1/2 section of land just north of Pigeon lake this year that is virgin bush and meadow. I didn't get a tag this year, but if you don't fill yours after some time, perhaps we could partner up.

They can be there one day and gone the next. To stack odds in your favor id recommend spending lots of time out there and secure as much permission on surrounding private land as possible. Any and all public property in that area will be very well used in the months to come im sure.

moose do travel weather they are a cow or calf or bull so it is most likely going to have a bull walk through... when who knows your better to go often not so they get used to your sent but you never know when they will be there
