Tomorrow I'm finally getting a chance to head down to the Calgary area to do some fly fishing!! It's been a couple years since I actually got some time to do this. The last time was during the flooding, and we all know how the fishing was then...
I'm going to be down there for just over a week, and was wondering what rivers and streams are fishing well right now. I would like to keep it within 2 hours of Calgary, and I'm hoping to get into some scrappy little trout...I'm bringing everything from a 3 weight up to an 8 weight...

I'm not the biggest bow river fan but I would suggest Highwood, Livingston, Oldman, sheep rivers. Police outpost, bullshead lakes (3 hours away) or upper and lower kananaskis lakes 1.5 hours away.
All of the River and smaller streams are all nice fishing.
I have been fishing from Bow river (many different stretches) to 0.3 CuM flow rate small creeks round ES1 and ES2 and they all were very productive.
Fishes seen to be a lot more active this year compare to the 2013 and 2014.
Was on the Bow yesterday by 7pm to 9:30pm and the browns were on frenzy mode.
