Scope recommendation
Time to buy a new scope. I have narrowed my choices down to the vortex viper, nikon monarch, or leupold vx2 or vx3.
Thoughts?

Out of those choices, I prefer the Monarch.

whats it going on ? deer/moose rifle ? coyote ? all purpose ???
i have no exp with the viper ........ but leupold is never a bad choice .......
also have an affordable(cheapo -150) nikon buckmaster on my 270 and its awesome ........zeroed for that load at 150 yards and rungs/ BDC go out to 450 confirmed ....plus the duplex at 600 ish ...... unconfirmed

There is not a snowballs chance in July I'd choose a Nikon Monarch over a VX 3.

I would go with the snowball as well.Just bought a new VX-2,its hard to beat,and I have lots of Leupolds to choose from.Monarch to my eyes,is well down the list.

Hello,
Sorry to high-jack the thread, but i have a quick question here.
I am thinking about Vortex diamondback. There is AO option for them. The manufacturer's web page explains it as "Adjustable Objective for image focus and parallax removal". Is it even useful? Is it worth 50% mark-up over the identical scope but without it?

Have had a Leupold on my first NEW rifle back from 1997 (Vari-X III 3.5-10x40). Still my main hunting rile today. All my other Sako m75 and Tikka T3 rifles have VXIII / VX3 / or a VXII on them.
No issues what so ever. And if there is....send to Korth Agencies in Okotoks for warranty and other services.
A VX2 4-12 would be sweet. I do like my VXIII / VX3's with the BC reticle.
