Default snare stiffness

I'm looking for a bit of advice.

Last season I made a pile of snares from 3/32 for coyote/wolf. I noticed some snare cable was much better then otherwise. By better I mean the snare stayed in more of a circle shape and when you touch it, it zips right down on itself. Compared to other snare wire that hung in a oval/egg shape and needed more pressure to get the cam lock to come down.

Keep in mind I preloaded all my snares.

What makes the better snare wire? Is it the number of strands in the cable? The lay out of the stands?

Which cable makes the better, stiffer, snare?

you probably had 7x7 cable I think it is. Not sure if that is right or not but I don't like it as it is flimsy and makes more of a tear drop shape. I use 1x19 and it keeps a good loop.

I simply prefer the 5/64 1/19 cable, for coyote, because I find it easier to work with as it loads well, fires fast and holds a great large round loop better than 7X7. It is also more chew resistant than 7X7 cable, although this is of little concern when using a good lock with kill spring and proper setting for the site conditions.
