I have attatched a file from the Alberta Dental Association for any of you who are interested in reading it. This is their stance on flouride, which is the same as mine. I know there are some dentists who are against it, but I would say for every one dentist against it, there are 50 for it. The comment about neglected kids is exactly why I am all for it. It's a pretty sad deal to see a two year old with a bunch of black nubs when they open their mouth. Not to metion all the geriatric patients in long term care facilities, who have nobody to take care of their teeth(a lot of them cannot physically brush).

Annectdotal evidence doesn't mean much IMO, unless the masses of annectdotal evidence amounts to something.

As for flouride in our water, I'd prefer they don't add it so I can make my own decision as to whether I want to ingest it. Something like 48% of people in Calgary don't want it, that is a pretty high percentage of folks who prefer not to have it added. If people want flouride added to their water, perhaps they can add it themselves or start ingesting flouride pills or toothpaste.
my kid as well ingests no fluoride... his teeth are totally healthy... our dentist also told us that fluoride is good in the short run but in the long run it has opposite effects because it slowly eats away at the enamel on your teeth

Flouride combines with the minerals in your saliva to remineralize teeth, and in the process it actually makes the teeth harder. Many small cavities in the enamel are stopped by using flouride, and this prevents you from getting a filling. The article from the Alberta Dental Association, basically says it is unethical for a dentist not to promote flouride usage. My sister in laws dad is an "organic dentist" in calgary, and there is a reason he bills about three times more than the average dentist. Promoting no flouride is just one of them. I'm glad your kids are taking care of their teeth and not having any fillings. Unfortunately they are the exception to the rule.

No worries, I'm not offended. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. Like all issues, there will always be people on both sides of the fence. It comes down to each of us to make our own choices, especially what we will do in our own sphere of influence.

It has been proven that flouride lowers IQ's by 15 minimum points.

It is a poison people.

Not only that, but what source are they getting it from?

Sodium flouride, hydro-flourosalicic acid, sodium hexa-flouracilicate?

It is industrial waste forced for people to drink.

What good is it on the teeth when you INGEST it?

None.

That's ok. You naysayers keep having at it. Poison your kids. Mine will succeed more than yours.

Leave my floride alone.
Stinky drinks tap water and uses tap water and NON floride (As RECOMMENDED BY HIS DENTIST)
And many people who drink bottled water have no problems.I drink bottled water and use to drink well water and I brush my teeth 2 to 3 times a day and use mouthwash. One cavity in my life.

So many variables from diet, tooth brushing, sugar intake. My wife drinks too much Coke, and drinks tap water she goes to the doctor all the time.

Bottled water has flouride unlike what you stated. Is it possible these kids ate too much candy and did not brush their teeth? The Nazi's used flouride to traquilize the Jews. Flouride is toxic and the by-product of producing chemical fertilizer so the fertilizer companies decided to market this excess flouride that would cost them money to dispose of safely. So presto lets tell stupid people who will get stupider it is good for their kids teeth. Drink some more flouridated Kool-Aid!

Yes the toxic chemical flouride is accumulating in our waters since its use and being flushed into our waterways by everyone one who uses it and by the chemical/fertlizer companies that produce it. Rest assured there was not always flouride in the water.

Some info to digest, but beware it is spread by the conspiring governments
Or is the flouride accumulating in waterways and acquifers as the result of fertilizer use?
