Default Beavers @ NAFA

WTH....that sale will hurt the pocket books for alot of beaver trappers. I only sold 2 LGE SLT BR for $22/ea. 50+ still sitting on shelf. Oh well thats auction sales I guess. I wonder what the percent sold for Westerns was?

I guess that makes up my mind for going after beavers this spring I don't think it would be worth the gas to drive and get them

Had 2 that I sent in and none sold as well. I might decide to not even try as well this spring. I think if I get bored I may get out for a couple but other than that forget it

I had 173 on the sale that I had kept over from last year. I was thinking I'd do better saving them for the February sale. Boy was I ever wrong. I had a $46 average on them last spring. A lot of work for nothing! Oh well, look out muskrats!

Have 13 at nafa. One does not even show on the lotting letter. Sold only 4 of them and they were the low end ones.
LM SLT. DBR-BR. 2x$16.00
LM DG1. $9.00
SML DG2. $1.00
I enjoy trapping beaver in the spring but its a money burner. Really only do it cause I need the bait. I should just buy carcasses for $10 but I'm sure guys will start charging more.

I had some beaver on the sale too - don't expect much now that I read this! I'll still go after them this spring though - only because I enjoy it......

x2 the only ones that I'm going to take this spring are the damage control ones.

Give me 10 rats to 1 beaver work wise. That beaver avg should be about $ 90 - 100, not even close.
Had 3 slight damaged beaver avg $10.17 and still have 23 left.
Shows only 18 buy backs where is the other ones? Hopefully they do not give them away after like they did to one of my coyotes.

11.41 average
27.00 top lot

They sold 100%

Just read the post on the NAFA website about beaver prices

Beaver met with resistance throughout, due to uncertainty about its price structure.

What does that even mean? Fur buyers don't know what a pelt is worth?

Seems a little weird to me to go from 100% clear out to 55 and 26% for eastern and western
