Default Edmonton Boat and Sportsman show

I am heading there tomorrow. What is the "must see" of the show?

The lineup & the Parking!!!!>: >: >:

Man is that organized confusion.

Not really too much exciting, just your normal Boat show type stuff.......except for the Orange Rhino , I can definatley see one of them in the Stable in the next year.

I would have to agree with TJ, lots more Hunting, & tons of Fishing (Charter type) booths. I like that they pretty much had all of hall D dedicated to Hunting.

I guess overall, the show wasnt really bad (kinda hard to see it all with my 4&6 yr olds in tow, but having them there makes it real fun). I need to start dedicating 2 days/yr to the show, 1 with family, & 1 with buddies......The wife may not let me go alone w/out her though, could be rather expensive!

Did I mention the Orange Rhino?

I wish they had a better selection of Kings Camo, at that one booth (cant remember which it was). I was gonna order a bunch this Winter, nice to see its up here now.

Message for Rob,

Shoot me a Pm. I never got back to your booth to buy a membership to the mag. (like I promised) I was the guy who asked about the duck band issue.

Made it to the Edmonton Show on Sat. and yes parking and entry was abit of a gong show, lots of people. But after going twice to the calgary show this year I have to say the Edmonton one is much better. Set up well easy to find the things you want to look at. Spent alot of time looking at the ATVS in Edmonton, only the polaris dealer was in cal. and about twice as much hunting stuff to look at in Edmonton as Calgary, glad I was up there to see it.

Just got the attendance numbers from Edmonton and it explains why it seemed so busy. Attendance was up 9,000 over last year. And plans are already underway for even more hunting and fishing next year. It shows what happens when you have show management that really wants to promote hunting and fishing. Being a non profit group too, they donate a lot of money to conservation and sportsmen groups here is Alberta.

Default No More Chamois

Edmonton had just over 41,000 people. I'm not certain about Calgary but it is considerably less. I'll take the boats over the chamois but it was nice to see all the hunting and fishing stuff. There are big plans to expand more in Calgary next year and to keep growing in Edmonton.

I wish I could've gone once iwthout the kids too. My 4 yr old caught a trout and had a blast but there was a lot of jawing I wish I could've done that is impossible with an active 4 yr old pulling you everywhere.

I do believe I will be giving a few AHEIA members a call for info/volunteering etc. Sounds like a great org who does worthy work.
