Cabelas Euro binos.

Does anyone have a set of Cabelas Euro binoculars, and what is your take on them. I'm thinking of picking up a set. Thanks for your advise.

I have the 10x42 Euro's. A very good glass for the price and ergonomically friendly. Only drawback, they are heavy to pack all day.

For that kind of money I would seriously consider nikon, you might even save a few dollars, cabelas contracts minolta for Thier optics, leopold makes great binos for that price as well. Take a look at the mojaves.

Pretty sure Meopta makes Cabelas euro line of binos, NOT minolta. Meopta makes some very nice glass. If Cabelas handles the warranty issues I think they would awesome binos. Also have a look thru the Ziess conquests while you are there.

Yes thats right, I couldn't remember the name.. But I'm pretty sure the majority say not to buy them.

Strange, every review I have read says they are awesome especially for the money.

Buddy has a pair bought them last year. He's pretty impressed by them. He definetly spotted alot more in low light conditions thn me and my leup cascades. But as mentioned they are Dang heavy.

Cabelas contracted a less than desirable manufacture to come up with a knock off swarovski binocular. If that floats your boat, buy them, but keep in mind the mark up on them is close to 40 percent. The other reputable companies mark up in optics is nowhere near that. Personally I'm a leica fan, are you going to argue that they are better than my lieca's?

First of all, if you think Meopta is "less than desirable" its time you actually look thru some. I also never once said they are better than Swarovski, Leica, or Ziess. I said they make some nice glass, but he should look at the conquests in the same price range aswell. But if you want to compare them, the Cabelas euro line costs $1000 - what did your Leica's cost?

Its also funny you claim to know their mark up, but didnt even know the makers name.

For the record, I use Leica geovids but if Swarovski had offered their rangefinding bino at the time - I would have went with them hands down.

Ya meopta is a recent arrval on the scene.....they know nothing about optics.
