Default Ground Blinds for bow hunting

I will be doing some bow hunting for mule deer this fall in prairie coulees. I can set up a ground blind on the land I will be hunting. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was looking at Primos Ground Max The Escape, Cabelas has it on for $150.

I really like my Ameristep "Outhouse" pop up blind. Light, easy to carry, and sets up fast.

what ever blind you are interested in make sure that you can draw your bow from inside. some blinds are designed for turkey hunters using shotguns

Default ground blind

Do some thinking about making a "pit blind" dig a hole about 2 feet deep and just sit on the side with your legs in the hole. It's amazing how well this works. Set up the hole in front of some bushes, a bale stack, the side of a hill etc. so you have cover behind you. You can put some cover in the front too but it's less necessary than behind you. I showed a buddy of mine how to make these and he was blown away how well it works. All you need is a shovel and if there is livestock around bring a piece pf plywood to cover the hole when you aren't there. I pull some logs over mine in the bush to keep the cattle off of it. The best one I made was in front of a big log and I shot 3deer off that one location. I've had coyotes within 10 yards and they are hard to get so close to.

I've done the same thing in a couple spots and it works great , especially the second year when the weeds and grass have grown up around it . The boughten blinds are great but remember to brush them in with branches , grass , etc .. Still need to break up their outline . Oh , and remember that you always take the chance of losing it if someone else finds it .. Pretty hard to steal a pit .
