Default Spring Lake

Just curious if there has been a winterkill at Spring Lake yet.

I understand the perch transer has been cancelled due to low oxygen levels. However, the Fishin' Hole is still reporting perch as Fair.

I was planning on taking my little newphew out there for his first fishing experience this weekend, and all the little perch would have been perfect for him.

Are they still biting, or is it a waste of time.

Thanks
Adam

they're still biting, all under 8 inches, but still fun for catch and release for the kids. You may even get a trout or two...fish closer to the island where its shallower (you'll see the holes), it'll be easier for the kid to feel the bites and pull them up. they spit it out incredibly fast in this lake
