Furnace Cleaning Compnay - Calgary

Looking for a furnace cleaning company that someone can recommend. There are tons of them in the city. Was hoping that someone has had a good experience with a company and willing to pass there name on to me.

Funny I’m on the hunt rn as well.
I believe I’m going w knights plumbing and heating.
Only because they are BBB accreditation.
Most places seem to budget like an hour to do whole house. I have 2 furnaces 20 plus vents etc..
Knight said 2-4 hrs w 2 technicians.

I did some Facebook searching and seems like a mistake.
First one I read a bit of a sob story how company was struggling to survive w just getting through Covid , had a young family w another on the way and really want to do a great job.
I fell for it and booked.. nite before I did a bit more searching and found they have been writing different versions of the same story for 10 years.
Do not like that tactic.

Following-Had poor luck. Last year was popular company who lied and told me they cleaned the flame sensor. Video told a different story. About a week after the cleaning I went to force the furnace fan on and it would not respond. After some investigation it became clear that they had used a vacuum to clean the contacts and had knocked off some of the leads. When I called them they denied responsibility.

Seems like a lot of fly by night companies and people for that matter that think they are qualified to do this. I have had a couple different people recommend a company called SUCK IT UP. Has good reviews and with being recommended might be a place to start. Based out of Chestermere.

When you say "furnace cleaning" are you looking for someone to do preventative maintenance on the furnace or duct cleaning?

We didn't want to be in the cleaning business but after trying all the usual suspects we were still getting poor results. This was a major problem with new housing and drywall dust. Manufacturers do not like honoring warranty when a furnace is filled with drywall dust. A bunch of specialized training and trucks later we do our own. Unfortunately (or fortunately for us) we are booking well into January for duct cleaning.

As far as the furnace and/or AC is concerned you folks should be hiring tradesmen rather than cleaners to service your units. It's like taking your car to the car wash and expecting it to run better. Your best case scenario is if the cleaner didn't damage the equipment. We get lots of service calls cleaning up after cleaners.

A qualified technician can often identify problems and have them addressed for less cost before they leave you with a no heat situation. A service call during overtime hours can be outrageous not to mention the inconvenience. If you miss a day or two of work, add that to the bottom line. Most people also do not realize that parts on most furnaces are covered for 10 years if you have a newer unit. Things like flame sensors etc. are generally replaced as part of a quality maintenance.

The majority of our customers enter into a service contract that looks after annual maintenance. Your furnace is serviced in the off season at a significant discount. You can go into the heating or cooling season with confidence knowing your equipment is in good working order. Unfortunately customers waiting until late fall or summer pay more. They also have to be patient to book a qualified technician.

Contrary to the doom and gloom we hear daily, qualified employees are hard to find and demand is very high for all trades. All reputable companies are extremely busy so please be patient when calling around.

Big Ben Cleaning Service 403-460-8989 Family owned and I've used them for years. Not the cheapest but they are the best I've found.
For furnace service work Royal Mechanical out of Cochrane gets my vote. They also service Calgary.
