Exactly, also check any marettes in the box - They may look to be installed correctly, but you can't be sure until you physically check them.
In one house I bought, the person who did the wiring in the basement must not of had strong fingers. Almost every box had loose marettes in it; plugs and fixtures were cutting out intermittently. On some you just barely had to touch them and a wire would pop out.
Ended up going through every outlet and fixture, correcting them.
And make sure the breaker is off before you start poking around... Just as a disclaimer...
