Default Lever gun smith

Just wondering who you all would suggest as a smith for doing a little work on my Rossi 92? I Have the 20” round barrel in 357 mag and I tested a few dummy rounds with much longer OAL (1.71 will chamber). That’s right close To the 360 Dan Wesson max OAL. (1.76)
Just something I thought of while watching the snow melt.
Problem is I would need to modify the cartridge carrier . Right now the rifle cycles with no issues from 38 special to 357 mag at 1.60.
Bump OAL up to 1.605 and one in ten will hang up.
With 1.61 OAL it’s definitely too long and causing many hang ups.
Any thoughts on this? I could Gain 150fps with minimal work… or ruin an already good rifle? So it’s Not something I want to take on myself but is there a smith you would suggest for this?
Or is it just a bad idea?

I wouldn’t if it were mine. Why do you want more speed? What are you loading now?

With 158 xtp and H110 without pushing it yet , I’m right around 1810fps. Which is basically a warm factory load.
I’m more interested in going up to 180 grain xtp and keeping the available powder space.
If it was to work out with the smith I’d end up at 360DW which would give me an additional 3.5 grains of powder space to start with. Where I’d end up and what velocity I’d get from the 20” barrel I’m not sure. Factory 357 mag 180’s go anywhere from 1550-1650 fps. Maybe I’d end up with a 180 grain at 1800-1850fps. Maybe more. That’s right around Buffalo Bore 357 mag numbers.
A decent deer load at 1400ft/lbs muzzle energy
Necessary? No
Interesting? Yes
