Tikka T3 VS Browning Hells Canyon

Hello

I am trying to decide between a tikka t3 or a browning hells canyon speed

I have had a t3, but not a hells canyon and am wondering about the cerekote finish and how it stands up to the elements.

would love some reviews and thoughts before I pull the trigger on either one

I much prefer the trigger on the T-3, other than that, there isn't a huge difference between them.

There is a huge tikka following and that gives you tons of aftermarket options. Not so much for browning.
Browning makes lots of window stickers and not many guns.

Personally I like the T3s. Depending on your budget and preferred caliber, there isn't a huge price jump to go from a Hell's Canyon to a Christensen Mesa.

I had a t3 but sold it a while back. Recently purchased a hells canyon speed in 6.5 PRC.

They are both decent rifles, I don’t like the gold cerecote though, just not my thing. Other than looks I doubt you’ll gain any function switching from a Tikka to a Browning, as mentioned above though I’d opt for a Christensen Mesa before getting a hells canyon.

My buddy has a Hells Canyon in 300 win. I find the barrel is very pencil like and the cerakote is prone to chipping. My personal preference would be a stainless stalker if you were looking at comparing a Browning to the Tikka. Tikka also has a new model out that is cerkoted if that's what you like. T3 Lite Special Edition

after doing some reading, the chipping cerekote issue seems common

If you have any idea what a good trigger is you will realize right away that the Browning needs a trigger upgrade right out of the box where the tikka does not.

I have a t3 in a 300 win mag and a hells canyon in a 28 nosler, took me a considerable amount of time working up a load with the 300 to even come close to the 28 nosler off the shelf. Take that for what it is but it’s the truth for my two guns.

I have owned four T-3 rifles, all shot 1/2 moa or better, the first time out. All shot sub 1/2moa within two range visits. Two friends T-3 rifles are still shooting the first load that was tested in them. Four of these rifles are T-3 Varmints, one Supervarmint, and one CTR. I have found the T-3 rifles to be extremely forgiving as far as load preference.

Very limited at one rifle in 6.5CM, but when 6 out of 6 of the T-3 rifles that I have personal experience with, will put five rounds in 1/2moa at 100m, accuracy isn't a factor, in the comparison.

I found the same exact thing. Now own a xbolt stainless stalker in .280 Rem, xbolt long range in 300 wm, and a hell's canyon speed in 6.5 prc.

As the op said would love some reviews, you have half of it fingered out, Jimm/Huntingfamily came with knowledge of them both

Knowledge of a single example of each, I only have experience with one Hells Canyon, but six T-3s, which is more than both posters combined mentioned. I don't judge the accuracy of any rifle model based on one example. I have worked with several X -bolts, but only one was a Hells Canyon. If I include all X-bolts, the accuracy edge would go to the T-3 rifles.
