I will await the inevitable story of the police charging him for using excessive force... stabber was running away... wasn't an immediate threat... yadda yadda

I remember when I was a little kid there was a farmer in our area took a shot at a burlgar running away from his house. Hit him in the ankle with a few pellets as I recall. RCMP warned him he shouldn't be doing that.

He stopped the attack on the woman then made a citizen's arrest.

I'm not arguing with you Red. I'm talking about how our law enforcement heros usually see it.

Did you check out the citizen? I AM surprised he heard the breaking glass over his blaring Slayer LP. Nice pants too.

Indeed he should not, aim for centre mass and far more pellets would have been on target

Besides that being a farmer he would have had lots of open ground to work with, heh, heh, heh,

Pssshhhh...give him a medal, a coupon for 10 free pizzas and a metal bat for next time. Shouldn't even be a discussion of charges against him.
Good on him for saving her life.
That is all.

I'd love for that guy to be my neighbor!

A stand up guy that does the right thing without worrying about the consequences.

"He caught the suspect and subdued him."

What a great way of saying he beat him with a bat! In the pic above he still looks pretty "subdued".

Excellent work.

Perhaps he can get a sponsorship battle between Louisville Slugger and Sam-Bat for his endorsement

I like this guy, society needs more like him.

Considering most folks these days take pics with their phone of situations like this, I'd say he did a good job.

Thumbs up

When in doubt, take a bat to a knife fight ... preferably one with big spikes in the end
