Default Metal Chroming or Other Options

We are well into the process of updating our mid 90's Brass and Oak home into something a bit more modern.
Done a bathroom, painted all the rooms, new appliances etc. Now working in the family room. Painted walls, new light fixtures on the way, but left with a wood burning fireplace with brass glass door fixtures and brass grills.
I think I can source new door hardware, but any ideas on getting the grills chromed or some other option?

Default Same Problem

We had the same issue and quickly found that replacement grills were no longer available. We opted for high-heat flat black paint, just rough up the surface a bit so the paint will adhere. I think it was the same stuff that is used for BBQs.

Has been in place for several years with no issues but a touchup would be easy.

I'm sure there are much more expensive options.

Some of the older Chrome plating shops in Edmonton could also complete other metal plating. However with almost All vehicles with cheap quality plastic bumpers many shops closed down.

Matte black will work, but powder coating would be a lot tougher.

Default Alberta Plating Ltd.

You could get in touch with plating shop such as Alberta Plating Ltd in Calgary. They have variety of options too choose from and could help in best finish for application. It's not cheap but may be worth at least looking into. Brass, nickel and chrome in brushed, satin and high polish etc. as choices.

Cerakote it

That or some of the high temp paints available at auto parts stores, I once did an exhaust manifold with a high-temp paint that was a raw cast iron color.

That may or may not be an outside combustion-air damper.
