^ Correct. The same is true for undersubscribed tags as well.

And 999 was replaced with "priority only".

I have a draw question as well, and rather than start a new thread, I'll just tag on here...
If I apply for a late season antlerless elk draw in a certain WMU, and I don't draw, am I still able to buy a regular season general elk tag?

Hunter Host + Priority
Follow-up situation/question #2...
- I act as a hunter host every year for two family members (non-resident Canadians). I do all that is required on RELM annually and pay the money.
- For their draws, they need to list me in order to apply (most years it's just for "priority only" as they don't have enough yet to pull anything).
Q: when they get a priority point, I do as well...correct? I can't apply for the draws on RELM once they apply for it (with me as their host).
Part B: This year I want to pull my antlered moose draw for a zone I should be guaranteed in.
- If my non-resident family member applies for that draw, I need them enter into my preferred zone vs. "priority only" for me to get drawn specifically there. Correct?

Fwee,
The draw booklet does explain all this.
If I understand your questions correctly.
A non-resident must apply with resident at a 1:1 ratio.
You can only apply for each draw with 1 of your NR family members.
Not both. (this seems to be your desire)
Draw applications are prioritized at the LOWEST priority of all applicants.
If your a 10, and our NR draw partner is a 2, the application is valued as a Priority 2.
Note that many moose draws are only available for Residents.
If applying for your Antlered Moose with your NR family member, he has to eligible for that draw, and your application will valued at the lowest priority.

Thanks Buffalo. Much of what you shared I've read, and understand. Including the 1:1 ratio.
- The regs however do not confirm priority (if not drawn) is earned by each person. I'm 99% sure that's the case, but wanted clarity.
- And with respect to antlered moose and my desire to hunt it this year, I understand it to be better for me to apply to that draw alone (without my non-resident grouped with me) as my priority should guarantee being selected. If I partner with my non-resident family member, his much lower priority will screw me -- and he doesn't intend to hunt in Alberta this year. Correct?
Appreciate the insight and confirmation.

As is explained in the regs, everyone that applies for a draw, and that isn't drawn, receives one priority point, it doesn't matter if they apply alone, or in a group, or if they are a resident, or a non resident.

Yes, you'd be screwed.
