Default Looking for Info!

I just bought a Winchester 94-22 and it has some marking's on it! I believe they are German, but not for sure! if you can help me out, that would be cool.
Made in 1975 the 76 makes sense, but what about the other? Or is it just to confirm it shoots what it does?

Yeah, none of that is good news......the Germans stamped a few of those that didnt shoot well and returned them to Winchester for a full refund....

I will pay $150 to take that horrible rifle off your hands.......my gift to you for your kindness over the years.....

Ok what does it say?And what does GMGH mean!
What does GmbH stand for? GmbH is an abbreviation of the German phrase “Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung,” which means “company with limited liability.” That's where I got the German from!

Was looking into this a bit - Winchester GMBH would be a division of Winchester (or a licensee) in what was formerly known as West Germany.

Here is the description of a rifle with similar markings on bidsquare:

Quote:
serial #SR001457, 12 ga. / 5.6x57R, 25'' solid rib barrels with bright excellent bores, the top shotgun barrel features an extra full WinChoke. The barrels and trigger retain about 99% original blue that is lightly flaking to brown and mingling with speck of light brown patina that is scattered about. The top rib is marked ''SUPER GRADE'' and there is a small ''GMBH'' stamp just after the Winchester logo on the left side. Along with the Winchester proofs the undersides of the barrels are marked with the German ''(eagle)/N'' and crosshatched shield proofs. The coin finished frame and remaining metal surfaces rate excellent and feature the factory foliate pattern engraving along with the ''Super Grade'' logo in oval along the belly. The oil finished checkered walnut stocks rate excellent and have a few light handling marks. The forearm features a finger groove while the Monte Carlo buttstock features a blued steel capped pistolgrip and factory red rifle pad. The original sights remain intact and mounted to the rib are a set of factory EAW style bases with 1'' scope rings. Likely this example was made for the German market and would have been shipped to Winchester GMBH or a German proof house for acceptance prior to sale. An excellent example overall of these Super Grade combination guns. (49022-73) {MODERN}
