Left vs right helic

I have a Bowtec Amplify and last year I learnt about arrows choosing their own left or right spin. I fletched my arrows with a right helic until after learning the arrow could have a natural left spin - guess what - it does come of the bow spinning left (counter clock wise).

Am I right in assuming it has something to do only with the way the string is made or is it the type of arrow?

Apparently it’s the way the string or serving is twisted. Not so much the arrow shaft or nock itself.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much unless you’re OCD like most of us lol
Supposedly, fletching your arrow to the spin will allow it to start spinning immediately coming off the string and start stabilizing more efficiently.
In practical and real world settings, it really doesn't make a difference in my opinion.
Your points will also unscrew themselves a lot easier.
A lot of broad heads have a right offset and right bevel which will limit your selection if using a left helical.
I used to shoot left helical. Moved back to right so I can use the Broadheads I want.

OK..... I did not know about the broad heads. Will have to look into that. I do recall on my other bow for some reason field points were loosening. Waxed them and then it was fine. Thanks

Muzzy trocar, ramcat diamondback, a lot of dual blade one piece Broadheads like helix or ozcut etc have single bevel for right clocking arrows but the market is starting to catch on to left helical and some companies are providing left helical options now.

It has to do with the twist of your string. I was told by a guy with about 30 years of competitive shooting and business ownership that he's never seen a left handed twist string.
