Barrel Reccomendations for .280 AI
Hi Guys,
Looking to replace my Krieger #2 contour barrel on my mountain rifle. Currently is 26 with a 2 radial brake, 1:8:5 twist. Going to stay #2 contour, but going to replace it with a 1:8 twist in 24. What barrel makes have you been impressed with? Will support local in AB if possible.

Contact Bob Galloway at Custom Gunworks and get him to spin on a Jury for you, 1:8 24"
You will NOT be sorry!

I have also had excellent experience with jury barrels. I recently put together a 6mm creedmoor with a jury, it was shooting .75” to .5” groups within 10 rounds after barrel break in, and cleans up in just a few patches.

There are 3 Jury barrels in my house right now.
2, 1 in 8, .260 REMs, and my new 1 in 8, 7mm-08.
They are all great barrels!
So, get a Jury barrel!

It seems Alberta is blessed with good barrel makers. I bought a used 280 Rem that came with a KS Arms #2 contour barrel. It's my most accurate rifle.
This 3 shot group is from that rifle, 100 metres.

I really like Benchmark barrels and really like the Douglas #2 Contour. I just took deliver of a newly rebarreled 7MM Rem Mag with an 8 twist barrel with the above description. Like the others I have used, it is a drill.

First and second group fired from the barrel. Both completely different loads including the bullet.

Do yourself a favour and grab an IBI barrel.
Incredible barrels, Ryan is great to deal with.
They will shoot lights out. I have chambered a lot of them. All have been amazing.
