Default Fur Handling

I have been making some new drying boards for the various species that we have on our trap line. I noticed the dimensions are quite different from Fur Harvesters too the North American fur handling manuals. Any input for making new boards? Are narrower boards with longer lengths better than wider boards and shorter lengths?

Thx

Longer and narrower is what they want. Plus your hide will grade a larger size too.

Thank you, It just didn't seem right to me having a 5 ' wide one piece fisher board. The last time I did this that was a small female board, now it is one size fits all. Just weird to me and had no one else to ask.
