Ladies and gents,

I just recently purchased a neat CZ Mallard 20 Ga O/U and was wondering what kind of cases you guys and gals use for your shotguns. I have the typical soft cases to keep mud off and the cheap Plano cases as well. I am however looking for a little nicer case to protect as well as compliment my recent acquisition.

Go find a breakdown case that you like and spend the money to buy it.

I also use soccer socks to put mu guns in when they are broken apart.

I am also totally anal about my guns though.

I have a variety of cases, the hard sided cases are excellent for anything but hunting , then I prefer a heavy one piece soft case.
When my guns are in two pice cases they are also in slips , like Mickey stated.....

go to cabelas and take a look at the plano all weather . they are a bit pricy but well worth it. its not quite a pelican but i can assure yo they are ''60km/h fall off the quad'' proof. when i have expensive pieces of gear, this is what i buy. the locks are solid, the whole case can take good hits. the cut it yourself foam is not fun at all to cut but if you have the one with square tabs, you simply pull the squares and shape your foam so it fits well.
i glued my foams together with 3m super 77, its a contact adhesive. it make a big difference.

try these folks - I have used their cases for test instruments and tools when travelling in the north. And they make several cases for firearms; they were several dollars cheaper than the competition.
