Default Pinnacle .

Spent a great evening with family and friends at the SABA banquet ,displays wer outstanding and can't beat the food or company. I was awarded the Pinnacle award for completeing all the required harvests of the bowhunter system, being lucky enough to be the first in clubs 45 year history. The remarkable portrait of a number of my harvests was drawn by Brooke Ukrainetz, a grade 11 student ,she is indeed a real talent ,much like her father . The goose was my final harvest to complete the list ... I'd like to thank all family and friends for their support and assistance in attaining this feat as well as the executive and members of SABA ...join your local archery club, you won't regret it .

Congratulations. It takes a lot of dedication to achieve the award. Saba is a great club.

Congrats man! When it comes to those lifetime achievements it’s a marathon not a sprint.

Thanx for all the comments guys ..you're right lefty, it took over 35 years to do it . I k ow there are 3 or 4 other archers that are close but to be the first is special ..li didn't take many real.big animals but I did take a lot and a wide variety ,everything from moose to a starling . There are 35 different critters involved to achieve and I got a few extra, 41 , all in Alberta and most within 10 miles of my home here in the south .

Hats off to both you and the young lady on your achievements. What you have accomplished may not be fully appreciated by many people. Also to accomplish this so close to home and perhaps share with family and friends on your hunts or shortly afterwards would add even more to it for me.Thanks for sharing

Thanx, yes for sure ..the last entry, the goose is special ..I had a quad accident this fall Sept 27 and separated my bow shoulder and torn 3 tendons and rotator cuff ..knowing I was one entry away from finishing I turned my bow down from 60 to 44 pounds and was still just barely able to draw . I missed a shot at a great whitetail in the bowzone early Nov that I rattled in to 30 yds because I couldn't draw my bow even at low poundage ..the goose was taken a week before and I was lucky to get that shot off ... shoulder has since healed remarkably and no surgery is required but some heavy physio is in order to get my strength back .
