I would love one. Musk said the roadster car has 10000 nm of tourque. That is 7.5 times more than my diesel truck. I would assume that this truck has similar motors. If it had a bit more range I would get it, I would need 500 km at -40.

Looks like it has stealth technology - so the laser speed traps don't catch you.
Also check out the rear passenger roof line - where do the people with heads sit?
What a silly ridiculous impractical design.
I Like the idea of a electric truck with lots of torque and power, but the designer has clearly missed the "practical application" part of his courses while in design school.
Maybe the designer smokes as much pot as Elon Musk does. Maybe more. He was absolutely baked when he drew this one up.

Im with ya, I'm REALLY excited to see what EV's are coming down the pipe. Torque for days and full power instantly and dead quiet and silky smooth. EV's are already tearing up drag strips.
But this "truck" missed the mark horribly. What an abomination.

Anyone else thinking there are weeks or days until the actual one is released, this is just a proof on concept? He is a joker afterall. The next one will be a polished jem as rounded as this one is angular.

The thing looks like a compromised Chevy Avalanche had an incest baby with it’s cousin the DeLorean and that’s what they threw up together in the delivery room floor.

I'm sure he is not marketing to us yet. He is marketing to the people that love the new techy things, the sci fi nerds etc.
But make no mistake, EV's, with the gigantic torque of the electric motor, have huge potential in trucks, private and commercial long haul. Is an electric tractor around the corner?
Then you'll see what they look like when they get serious about marketing them to us regular folk.

That’s already a thing, it’s all happening, atleast as concepts etc. The battery and charging technology is improving rapidly, this stuff is real and here to stay.

He's testing the gullibility of the target market
Cybertruck design cues explained, just add batteries.

I think this is it guys. With the capabilities it has and the entry level MSRP shown, something had to give. The cost between designing, reseaching, tooling the assembly line, training, painting, etc. for what we wanted it to be vs what it is, sheet bought at Industrial Metals and bent on the factory floor, would save hundreds of millions and bump up the schedule by months, if not a year. Tesla is bleeding cash and saving millions and bringing another product to market quickly is critical.
It's a risk though, are the capabilities of the truck, and MSRP going to make up for the looks and the few that don't be limited to a few hundred million in sales? I doubt it. Although not recently, history has taught as that an average vehicle with exceptional styling will be a huge sales success wereas an exceptional vehicle with bland styling usually aren't nearly as successful.

could literally pick up a piece of sheet metal from metal supermarkets, cut at home and replace a panel. Lol.

Like everything else Elon Musk talks about, it'll never be all it's cracked up to be except maybe the "ballistic glass".
It won't have the same range, payload, towing capacity or performance he's currently claiming.
There are zero videos of it in action. At this point, he can say whatever he wants.
He talks about how great the tri motor model is when it hasn't even been designed (according to his own engineers).
Where are the semi trucks he promised to Walmart a few years ago?
How is Spacex doing? Oh ya, that's right... the company is hemorrhaging cash faster than it can be printed and that was even before it crashed and burned last week.
He's a huckster running a pyramid scheme. His followers are like a cult that believes in every thing he says.
His net worth dropped by $770M overnight after the auto show premier of this "truck".
I hope the people that have put deposits down are keeping their receipts.
Although no one knows how many people have actually put down a deposit, the numbers change almost hourly.

Other than the delivery schedule, don't Tesla cars performed as claimed?
