Truck has 411 000k on it... should have lots of jump left in her.

What a let down

You can try to cheer a guy up, but some just won't have any part of it.

Default Ouch and baby it's cold outside

A friend was telling me just as we were driving by a spot on Hwy 3 where his truck had quit on him once...

He was relating this with much expression in his voice.......he said "I turned to me wife and said; this is exactly why we have an AMA membership". He was watching his wife as he was telling her this and watched her lips start to tremble. She said......."I didn't renew our membership". What followed this wasn't pleasant

Morals of the story are many...

Don't let your wife pay the bills;
You don't know what you've lost till it's gone;
If you drive a truck with 411k on it be prepared; and
Hunting doesn't provide free food.

I feel fer ya. My truck has 350k. I did the same ting by cancelling my AMA membership and Murphy's law struck me on Hwy 3 and I needed a tow. I have since put my AMA membership on automatic renewal. Mon or Tue is gonna be goose day or tow day...could be both but I will be prepared lol

Well that sucks. Your luck seems to come in waves, good, then bad. I saw pics of your hunting season and it looked good, so maybe this is just the tide going the other way for a bit. But still, that sucks. And having an unsympathetic dog giving you stink eye doesn't help.

Well....
Stuff could be worse....
I’ll just use my 92 Mazda truck.... 390k on it... but she goes.

Rescheduled the duck patch assault for tomorrow.

Gave my mechanic a bunch of elk cheese smokies and he’s gonna tear into it quick.

My boys got a late season cow elk tag....

I’m not sure my B220 could handle a whole elk in it....

If a guy was gonna break down and be stranded for an hour... being decked out for the duck patch with a hot coffee on the go helped. Lol.

The sunrise was really beautiful I tell ya.

My hunting rig isn’t a Ford

Nissan Xterra... 2000.

I just laugh.... cause every time I think we actually NOT be a paycheck to paycheck family...sumpin happens.... this.... moose collision.... whatever..

I’m gonna pretend I’m super upset and maybe get some sympathy action from wifey...

What a coinkydink. I was driving down the highway in the CNP area this morning around 7am, headed for some duck shooting. Saw a guy standing outside an older Nissan Xterra about 10 minutes from my destination field. Looked like it had around 400k on it. Guy looked to have about 700k on him. Dog was giving him the stinkeye from the passenger seat.

He looked angry so I didn't stop. Carried on to duck field and limited out in first 20 minutes of daylight.

Was a great morning. Beautiful sunrise.

Didn't ruin any hunting, but our alternator went on the van this week. That's not as easy as it used to be, jack it up, block it, take tire off, take two splash guards off, take belt off, take A/C pump off, and finally, remove alternator.

Hope you have better luck tomorrow.

Default I once had

A County Peace officer drive 1/4 mile off the gravel road across a stubble field into the middle of my decoy spread to ask me what I doing at first light.What a dipstick .Cause he saw my truck tucked into a island of bush.Should have called his supervisor.
