Default Cold Lake Pike

Well we hammered the pike today just tossing Len Thompson spoons all different sizes and colours too.
Had 7 double headers and managed 40 all catch and released.
Only three were over 30” but man we had a blast!

Can’t beat a day on the water like that. Porter sent me a pic the other day that reminded me of you. It involved a kayak though.

You asked me about doing this around a year ago. Porter sent me the link with this story last week and you came to mind. Get that yak out and duplicate it please…

Just got off the water

Was slow but got on then, nothing big!
Lake was moody with regards to the wind but we managed.

I came home and went to charge my boat battery when this fella walked up and asked me for my picnic basket!

Walked right by me like I was lawn furniture.
We get some real pushy neighbours around here periodically!

Pretty sure we passed by you guys a couple times today. We had spurts but yeah it was an off an on day both with the fish and the wind.
A couple 27-28" and a bunch in that 24" range for us.....picked up a few trolling spoons in 25-30 feet while it was choppy.
Didn't go looking for any pike today....maybe tomorrow morning if I get out early.

Awesome Matt,

Was out yesterday and the dam popular fluff clogged up lines real bad, we need rain and a stiff wind to get rid of this crap!
Took a fella out who had a blast but man when you get one on it was a two man team to keep the line free of fluff and one to reel in!

I agree. Or maybe barracuda. They look pretty similar.
I want to catch a 48" muskie at least once in my life. Hasn't happened yet.

Do they bite when you haul them aboard?

We don't need no mythical "lake monsters" like Ogopogo or Nessie. We already have a few.
