I have read enough letters to the editor praising Trudeau to be slightly worried on any future outcome that moves him cleanly down the road.

The possibility of a coalition of Weasels version 2 is also concerning.

Anyone thinking that Jagmeet saying lately that he would not do this again and him not reversing if given the chance after the next election to sit at the feet of power is on the good stuff.

I see a lot of flap about UBI. They are already floating the idea to see which way the wind is blowing. I believe this will be one of their buy the election strategies, it it may work for them. Remember in todays world, a minority is a majority, at least for the liberals it is. Jagmeet or JT are not going anywhere, if the liberals can win by the narrowest of margins then they have their majority as long as Jagmeet is around.

Bring in a million people a year for 8 - 10 years, crush the economy with reckless spending, offer UBI to all those newly landed and financially crushed individuals. You just might buy your way back in. He’s busy trying to buy Atlantic Canada off ( although I think that one back fired) and high density housing assistance in Toronto, don’t expect much play in the west, he can’t win out here, so, he’ll spend our tax dollar in places that the polling shows he’s on the edge or has some chance of winning. I’m sure he has a team of people dedicated to analyzing where he needs to spend our money to win again. Any other spending is over seas, or for his ongoing war on Canadas economy.

Trudeau can't buy the middle class, in most of Canada, so he will try to buy refugees, the lower class, and central/eastern Canada. He doesn't care if it will totally destroy the middle class, and our entire economy, as long as he can get elected for another term. And all of the people who will vote for him are the same, they don't care if they destroy our economy, and destroy the future for their children and grandchildren, as long as they get handouts now.

we just scaled it up as so called modern man and are more aware of it due to social media etc.

It really makes me upset because I went to school and worked my butt off to get where I'm at, and I work a pile of overtime for extra money to try and get farther ahead. I also pay more in income tax than the ave person makes in a year and that's part of the game I guess but now to pay for bums who dont want to work man oh man i wish i could use different words in here.

Canada had the strongest middle class in the world 2014, now we are falling fast.

The Liebrals are running out of money, can’t run record deficits forever. Lots of people are starting to not care about woke issues and are more concerned with putting food on the table. The next election will come down to how good a job the liberals and media paint the conservatives as far right Trumpers and how many fall for it. Sadly for Canada lots of newcomers will fall for it and the Liebrals know it.

And there is a reason so many don't want to work, the incentive of having a better life has been removed for a lot of people. They number they were floating around for universal basic income was $2000 per month, that's $4000 for a couple, presumably tax free? Now ask yourself how much a full time minimum wage worker takes home per month, minus work expenses like parking, clothing, taxes, vehicle insurance, fuel AND what wins the $2,000 a month for going fishing everyday or working for a living?

IF UBI comes to pass there will be a lot of job openings in minimum wage postitions.

Well, his main incentive to prop the liberals up goes away when he qualifies for his pension - which would be before the election. But you're right - he may prop them up again just due to the addiction of power.

There is that. Reminds me of this quote (not sure of the author):
